Mini World: Summer
This summer world is filled with flowers that blossom during peak summer in northern Sweden. The butterfly resting on the dried flowers is called Danaus Chrysippus.
This mini world is 20.5cm tall and 11.5cm wide.
This world is created using flowers locally sourced in Northern Sweden, gathered close to where I live and work. Each floral element is carefully preserved with a UV-protective finish to maintain its beauty over time.
The butterfly is ethically sourced from responsible butterfly farms, each piece is individually handcrafted and completely unique.
Hi, I’m Senja P. Sollén, an artist inspired by nature. As a child, I created small “Mini Worlds” by collecting flowers and insects and preserving them in jars. In 2023, I shared these pieces at a local market and was encouraged by the overwhelming response. After earning my second master’s degree in the arts, I founded Sol Studios to pursue my career as an artist.
